    Default Yesterdays fishing trip

This past few days have really gotten fairly nice and we could venture out on the water for a few days. Chris Carter asked if he could tag along on yesterday's fishing trip and we had a good time and manage to catch a few besides. I was out on Friday and the fish were very willing to bite. I had my limit of very nice Crappie in less than 2 hours. The lake I fish on I don't fish it on the week-ends for all the lake lice and skiers on it. With the weather as warm as it has been they have been overrun with them. Anyway I fished on Friday and so was going again yesterday and Chris PM'd me and asked if he could come along. We got on the water about 9:00 AM and started catching fish not long after we got there. Friday I caught mostly big one's and had mostly 12-13 1/2 incher but we started catching mostly small one's yesterday. The lake is down about 2-1/2 to 3 ft so that makes a difference on this lake. I can usually count on picking up a few fish when trolling along the dam but yesterday we didn't catch a fish. We used mostly minnows but did try a few jigs that I usually can get a bite on but they wasn't interested. We caught most in 15 ft of water up a little off the bottom. Water temp was 74 yesterday but was 78 on Friday.

    Chris with a good fish.

WTG at getting some nice fish. Good report and good pictures with a fellow crappie dot comer and having a enjoyable day on the water. Like I've said before when ol EB talks crappie fishing folks should listen.

Way to go! I know what you mean about lake lice and skiers. Some of the skidoo-ers don't mind coming within a few feet of a fisherman at full speed sometimes. It looks like you had a pretty good day yourself and then you and Chris had a decent day as well day. Good job and thanks for the pics.

I only fish on days of the week that end with
a "Y" ...and then, only if it's raining or not.
