Summit Lake this past week

Spent the majority of this past week Camping over at Summit lake (Tues-Friday). Didn't get to spend as much time on the water with Dad due to the much needed rain, including one storm that chased us off the Lake. We caught a few bank fishing behind our campsites, but did the best Thursday. Crickets and beemoths seemed to be what they wanted. We found them (Bluegill) just outside the weedline fishing 3-5 feet deep setting in about 10 FOW. We caught several really nice ones, but didn't keep any since we'd taken fish with us we'd frozen earlier this year.

Tied-on a white jig and this guy slammed it on the 1st cast, solid 9" + fish, and we caught several this size out of the cove near the Shelter House, just around from the boat rental. Not sure if you can tell, but we were fishing in an off & on light drizzle.

Nice deal!! Sounds like a great time!! We had similar luck yesterday on a northern Indiana lake. We ended up with about 20 or so.
