    Default smithville 8-11-12

Got on the water at about 6:30. I enjoyed the beautiful sunrise with a little fog on the water sure was nice. Air temp was 58 deg. The long sleeve shirt felt good crossing the lake.
Picked up my rod with a chartreuse Chapman Creek tube jig on it. Started fishing in 15 fow and nothing. moved in to 10 fow and bang. bang bang. Had my limmit by 8:00. All fish were caught in 5-10 fow. I was able to get my limmit without re tying or loosing the first plastic. Had four 12", one 11" and the rest were 9"-10".
I then put on my new muddy water jigs and took them for a test. They sure look good in the water and catch fish. Next time iI will start out with them.

    Good luck to all

Darrel calls me and says, "Get out here they are biting"! So I do, grab a quick limit & get out of there. On the way back I hear the cops theme song!! Evidently the trailer plate fell off. So after he was finished I tried selling him Entyzer Jigs!!! To bad I'm not a Krispy Kreme dealer, I would've made a killing!

Skeeterxs170, did you make enough to pay your ticket or did he let you off with your "bribe"?

The bite as a little tougher today for us . We caught some small fish , but only a few slabs . An enjoyable day of fishing , even though we didn't wear em' out .
