Hands down, vertical jigging, deep tree tops or ledges. Once the fish move in, you can stay on them for weeks.
Seen some folks use float and fly, some minnows, some troll, what seems in your opinion has the most success in the fall of the year when water cools???

Where you can .... shooting docks !! (stationary docks w/deep water) ... especially for Black Crappie.
For White Crappie, I've always liked tightlining minnows around deep trees, or dropping a slipfloat/minnow rig down thru the branches of a Cedar tree (again, in deep water). Second to those would be jigging a minnow on a jighead, around deep brush. Mostly it depends on how deep the fish are, and what lake I'm fishing.

Slip-bobber and minnow rig, love to see the slip bobber trimble and go under. I also like tight linning.
