    Default Fun Fishing Trip

Took my dad and nephew out fishing for the first time together this past Sunday. We had a fun day catching some crappie and even a small catfish. Started trolling curly tail jigs with some fast action. My nephew stayed busy reeling in fish (he lost about a dozen fish at the boat). Then switched over to bobber and minnow around brush piles with good results. As the sun got higher the fish went tight to bottom. Finished the morning by trolling cranks from 7-18ft to catch our bigger fish. My neighbor was also out there trolling cranks that morning and was done at 10am with a 2 man limit of big ones. Water was 86. My nephew swam the last hour and then we left at 2pm. Overall a great day, alittle too warm for my dad but he still had a good time. Cant wait to do it again soon.
