    Default Clinton Lake 7/23/2012

Good morning on the water, LBM, Slabby Joe and I drowned some minnows against stumps/trees and ended up with a total of 48 legals. Lots of dinks helped keep the morning interesting, I went thru 3 dozen minutes do not know what they went thru in their boat. Slabby Joe caught a large channel cat believe it over 8 pounds, he had fun on his 10 feet crappie rod.

Ill bet that was a lot of fun on a 10 foot rod especially fishing around trees and trying to keep the fish from wrapping up in the tree!
Thanks for the report! I hope to get out soon. We have been spending every extra minute we have canning tomatoes, green beans and corn.

On the water at daylight and off around 10:30 am. Just the way I like it in this heat. Yes it was a very enjoyable morning on the water with good friends even if one of them does catch keepers while I'm occupied with securing the boat to the timber. Thanks to Ron for instigating this outing this morning and getting me up at 3:30 am and out of the air conditioning.

Sounds like a darn good day of fishing (and catching). Might have to consider a trip to Clinton. Hillsdale has just given me fits this year. Good to hear that you found some keepers.

Gold mine! That lakes chucked full of crappie. We fished up the river last summer/early fall out of a 12' tin boat when it was down. I thought we did well. You guys are doing pretty good yourselves and sharing, awesome. Which side do you guys like better, Rock or Wauki? Seems fD did well over there about now through the fall. Good job guys and Thanks for sharing!!! Thumbs Up
All lakes raise a foot when I step in the boat
