guys up this way are feeling good with any bites they can get, the drought has really put a damper on shore fishing.

Man, if I had the day off AND it was raining, or going to rain I'd be all over the Kankakee!

Yah, haven't been to Missy in a few weeks, it was real slow then and the alge/scum on the water can't be good either.

What condition are the boat ramps in? Heard it was pretty bad with the low water.

If you are talking about paved ramps, they are fine. Red Bridge ramp has 2 lanes shut off because of low water, but there are 3 other lanes open. The dirt ramps are another story.

We were out there Saturday and the surface temp was 84-85F.

The water is actually pretty clean. It was a bit cloudy last weekend just because the water level went up a bit and there were so many boats on the water Sat. that they were pulling debris into the water off of the bank with all the wake.
They got some rain last week and I believe they got a little this week as well, so the level should be going up just a little more this week too.
