    Default Mr. Crappie Joker

These baits are bad to the bone. Ol' Wally Marshall knew what he was doing when produced them. I started using them early this summer (not sure exactly when they hit the market). We were fishing a floating boat dock around mid June, prolly 10-12' deep. I was catchin more and bigger crappie with my Joker than my wife and two other fishermen using shiners. I lost the largest crappie that I have ever seen much less had on a hook using the joker. Its my fault, I was snatching so many fish out of the water that I forgot to inspect my line for nicks. I knew better, havin too much fun.

Do they have a void in the body or solid?

They are solid and tough. They don't tear off your hook very easily.

Mark Copley from Strike King tells us this about their release:

    "
Right now they are available at Academy by mid August they should be available everywhere."

Here's an article I published for them here on Crappie.com. They are a great sponsor of ours. Wally is a great guy.

I'm anxious to try them. Remove a tail and I believe it will mimic a small craw perfectly. Should be killer on big black crappie.

Slab, that is a good read. FF, I have not had to modify it at all but I have been catchin whites. I havent got into any black crappie yet while using it. One thing I noticed while fishing with the shiner fishermen was nearly all of thier fish were lip hooked. Most all of my "Joker fish" was either hooked deep in the roof of the mouth or it was inhaled.

So, makes me wonder if a pkg of these "Jokers" will show up in a drawing soon. Gotta have some.
Next time I'm in town, gotta check out Academy.
