    Default Smithville 7/9

Got out at daylight, fished north of Trimble until about 9ish. Had a limit of decent crappie, next to the trees in 14' - 20' down. The fish were all over as far as depth, but the bigger ones were a crank or two off the bottom. I switched to an 1/8oz jig to get it past the "dinks" a little quicker. It seemed like the big crappie wanted more natural colors versus neons. The jig box took a hell of a beating to the tree gods that's for sure!!!
On the way back to the launch the whites were chasing shad so had to stop and wear them out for over an hour. To top it off it wasn't surface of the sun hot!!!

Great work, Trevor and thanks for the report. Richard and I got distracted by the whites going nuts a couple weeks ago, lots of fun.
