pinchot today

Went to pinchot today to find out for myself what was happening. Fished from 6AM till 2PM. Caught 8 crappies a 13" and two 10" the rest were small. Also caught 8 bass 5 of them were 15 to 16 inches the rese were small. Not a bad day considering this was only the second time I was at this lake and it was a hot day.

Hey Paw-paw,

Take a run up there in the evening, say around 5 and fish till dark.. If there's a hatch on, you're gonna be busier than a one armed paper hanger:D !! You might even wanna bring a few small topwater lures as well... Everything hits topwater when the hatch is on, be it mayflies, or whatever...

Thanks for the information. I have been thinking about going over for an afternoon and evening. I may give it a try next week. I Guess the place will be zoo on the weekend so I will wait till next week. I just don't like getting home after 10 at night. Us old guys can't take it anymore.

I did see the picture of the big creppie. I stopped at Hawgshead after fishing and they told me about it. They said it was only an ounce or two under the state record.
