Backwater Kayak Crappie

I kept three small crappie and one catfish last night from Lady Anne while fishing with Z-man and GrantH. I decided to go to one of my dewatering areas around Lake Wheeler and try and pick up a few more. The water in the area I fished was only two feet deep and felt like bathtub water even at daylight this morning. I managed to add nine more Crappie and another catfish to my total in three hours of fishing. It was too hot to be on the water 9:00AM so I called it a day.

Yup, under I-65. What are you doing tomorrow about daylight?

Text me in the morning if you were wanting to go out on the lake again. I will set the alarm for 5. Text me around then if you want to fish. I can't go anywhere yet because of the license deal...but soon!

Just curious, I'm going somewhere tomorrow but haven't decided where. It may hit 100 degrees tomorrow so plan to fish from 5:00AM till around 9:00AM.

Congrats .......I don't know you you do it in this heat - but then again, I'm NOT a morning person....Clearly early morning is when it's happening.
