One word, ABSOLUTELY!!!!
Do you think this will work for spider riging?
There will be one on each side of the boat. And will be bolted to a bracket on the side of the boat with a 1/2" bolt 7" long. They will be about even with the top of the seat.
Also there 6" apart on the outside and 12" on the inside.

Thanks and how about the spacing? And how long should the bar be? I picked up 2 of them this morning for $2. There 32" long.
Pete
Don't make them too long, takes a lot less pressure to break them. The spacing is up to you. Whatever makes you comfortable. I don't think there is a given spec for that. It is your boat, set them up how you want to.
Thanks I will try them this way and then go from there. Also the bar is 1/4 aluminum bar a 1 1/8 wide so it should hold up to a lot.

Looks good to me. And the pillows are for??

and if ya'll see Goober later tellem I said duh huh - he'll know what ya mean!!!!!!!!
I use that same bar with rod holders. Mine are 6 inches apart with the middle one 2 inches higher (3 rodholder). It has worked verywell for me.
Give a man a fish, feed him for a day.
Teach a man to fish, he'll sit in a boat and drink beer all day.
Fatboy is right on! It's your boat , set them up for what is comfortable for you. Each time you go out and use them you will find little ways to tweek them to fit your own personal situations. I probably changed things 3 different times before I finally found what I feel suits my style of fishing. I may even change a few more things before Im through.LOL What you have there should serve the purpose well...........treepotatoOriginally Posted by ncnat
