Went Fishin This Mornin

I started out in the smaller lake of the three I fish and wasn't doing anything so about 8am I loaded up and moved to the big lake across the road. Wind was blowing pretty good by then but I headed out to the big overflow pipe by the dam in about 17' of water. When I first pulled up I caught one on a minnow at about 6' deep and got blown off the spot while landing him. I pulled back up and caught another and got blown away again so I said the heck with this and pulled up and tied off to the grate on the top of the drain pipe. They bit good until 9am and shut down. I did deepen to 11' to keep catching them before they finally quit. I ended up with 22 that went from 10" to 13"

Good fishing Blackhawk. What were they on? Structure or a drop off? I've still got alot to learn about post spawn crappie. I hope to get the summer time fishing figured out someday. Again nice fish there buddy.

They were holding around the overflow pipe, even though the water stopped flowing thru it last week, we are still in exceptional drought here in South Alabama.
