LOL, back in my younger years I went out to Ventura, Cali. and stayed there for awhile. Being that I'm slow of mind and of talking, they did get a kick out of me. Though I did have a lady friend that said I used too much toilet paper. hehehe. Your post reminded me of that.

    Nice catch Mr. Tom.

CP great catch there, looks like fun. WE call them "LOOKIE LOOUS" people who watch others work. They just look around and have to intention of doing any thing. Oh I'm from Cali. I can't drive 100 miles with out my wife asking to stop at least twice.

When I was in the Air Force, I was stationed in Ohio, Wyoming and Alaska. When people found out I was from CAli. they were surprised that I knew how to clean fish, gut and skin a deer. Not every body from Cali is city folk.

Speaking of Ventura, I was attending Ventura College (evenings) when I worked at Pt. Mugu. Teacher was a "foreigner" teaching political science (American History). This ole southerner had a hard time of it in this particular class. It was in the 1960's. Can't remember exactly, but I wuz zare. I really liked Ventura. I spent a lot of time at Morrow Bay. I sure nuf liked theem San Louis Obispo ladies. They liked to listen to me talk..ha

Cane Pole I'm stationed at Port Hueneme. I gotta agree with you about those ladies up at SLO. We got some good crappie fishing just south of SLO.
