Went fishing at Tablerock lake and got some good advice from Beagleman and Kit Papermouth. This is a tough lake to crappie fish but the ones you catch are some nice slabs. Kit gave me the colors to try while at the lake. I talked to Micheal a couple of times on fishing the Cape fair area and he was right on in the areas to fish. Some of the fish had eggs in them and all of the fish where caught in 10-25 feet. I did catch a 8lb flat head on my 10 foot pole and gave it to some guys that were running a trot line and didn't get any. They had a bass tournament at the lodge i was staying at and i would have been in third place on the nice bass i caught on my crappie poles. It was tough catching multiple crappies in a single spot wether it be a dock or brush. I also caught my first black nose crappie at the lake. These were some nice crappie and every one was jealous when i was at the cleaning station. One of the persons staying at the lodge caught a 25" walleye. I had a good time fishing and thanks again for the advice. I would think the the crappie should be going shallow to spawn if your out there fishing.
