Default Smithville Boating accident on TV 4-20-12

Hopefully not anyone from here, not that it would matter much regardless? But sounds like a boat hit a barge up around W bridge this morning. Life flight is taking people away right now. Does not sound good. How do you not see a BARGE? Prayers out to those hurt.

I just checked out the story on channel 5's web site. Does not sound like the barge was hit by another boat that did not see it, but that the crew working on the barge got too much wieght on one side and it capsized.

A steel beam flipped it. Too much weight. Bet that water is cold.
The fishing was so good I thought it was yesterday

They are going to make them stop using that barge any day now if things keep going this way and that's NOT a good thing for our fish habitat and the lake.

My best to those who got wet today and especially to whomever got the chopper ride.

If you get airlifted its almost always life threatening "one man was hurt but not life threatening and had to be air evact out."
