    Default Smithville 4-18 Evening

Took Herself out to Smithville after work last night right after work. We were there about 20 minutes wihen I gave up on fishing for the evening. I kept having to retie this one and pull this one out of a snag and then retie the other one. All the while she kept picking up crappies. We came home with a dozen between 11 and 12 inches. Threw back 6. All in 10ft of water fishing from 7 to 4ft deep. I tried all kinds of colors and types of jigs but they didn't want anything but minnows. We had two lines just over the side with minnows and she was using a RoadRunner, pink. Naturally. The deal on the boat is the person who catches the first fish doesn't have to fillet the fish that night. She's got me every time so far this year. We were off the water at 8:30.
Oh yeah, 4 of the fish were female and didn't look ready to pop yet.
The fishing was so good I thought it was yesterday

I don't know what it would be called but it's the south end toward the 'W' bridge.

Cut the tip of her hook of, it will take her a long time to notice. Sadly I know this from experience!
