Default KC area - Longview and Prairie Lee Sunday 3-25

I was the first boat on Longview Sunday morning, on the water by 6:15, went for walleye first, fished the damn running cranks, bottom bouncers, worm under bobber and jigs, and in 3 hours I caught....one....catfish. Went up mouse creek for crappie starting around 9:30, dipping trees, two dinks by 11 AM so I bagged it. Went and got some lunch, then put in at Prairie Lee around 12:30. Fished the docs around the bend (thank you again MDuncan62) and after figuring out what they wanted, it was on. Dropped a slab slayer jig tipped with a crappie nibble chaser straight down in 20 feet of water at the outer edge of the docks, start reeling up r-e-a-l-l-y S-L-O-W, and they would hit it before I got half way up. Only a couple really thumped it, most just tapped it. Caught a dozen over 10 inches, over twice that in dinks thrown back, here's a picture. It was a great day. Happy fishing!

Good job.Ole Duncan been outta town for work and will be jealous.
There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.

Nice basket of fish. Please be sure to disinfect your boat when going from lake to lake. Zebra mussels were just confirmed in Smithville Lake. We should treat all lakes as if they are infested and clean our boats goood when moving from one lake to another. We appreciate your help in this matter.
