    Default Up the river

Took a buddy and his nephew out today. Went up river from Bucksaw. Caught 30 keepers between us and some good ones. Straight minnow on a jighead in 7-10 fow 4-7 ft down. Caught probably 30 shorts, the future looks bright. Also took a boat drive by Otter and just shook my head and laughed. Outstanding day on the water and I forgot the sunscreen banghead

Boats, boats and more boats! I think I counted 6 trailers near the ramp and I saw 4 boats pull in. I take it they are biting in there

Otter flat gets pounded on this time of year but ya can catch some good ones in there when the crowds thin out.
There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.

Congrats on the catch. The boats can pile up in otter and hay. Couple years back I was killin em in Jackson early, nice and quiet in there. Till good Friday, and you could walk across the boats. LOL

Sounds like a good day on the water to me. I plan on being down there this coming weekend again so I am hoping it stays hot. The fishing that is.

Or a no vacancy sign. I've heard that it gets pretty busy in there, someone told me they seen 15 or so boats at one time, guess I need to get out more.
