One bad trip a year? take my partner Ron with you and every trip will be bad..........RoflRofl
There is no worse feeling than when your brake pedal goes to the floor while backing in your trailer. I know because it happened to me yesterday at the Sac river. The next scariest thing is backing down to get your boat KNOWING that you might be going for a swim, truck and all. Some days it would be best to just stay in bed.
Oh well, got home with the truck and the boat. Now tonight I will have to fix the brakes so I can go again next week.
At least the fish could have grabbed my jig. I don't know about you guys but there is always one bad trip a year, With it out of the way it should be a lot of fun from here on out.

A FISH IN THE PAN IS WORTH TWO IN THE LAKE
That sounds pretty scary. I remember the first time I was backing down a slick winter ramp and the boat and trailer just drug me down the ramp. It freaks you out until your tires get in the water and they you stop. You would not have had the luxury.
Fish like your hungry!
GO BIG ORANGE !
I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.
Whoa!!!!! That would definitely increase the pucker factor!!!!

pucker city for sure
Yeah, nice big pinch mark in the drivers seat! I saw a guy do that in Northern Michigan in the late 70s, the bottom sloped pretty quick to 20' and he lost his truck and trailer. We watched from across the resevoir in amazement.
The fishing was so good I thought it was yesterday
I hit a slick spot on a ramp at Fairfield one day and the truck and boat trailer broke totally free of any grip and couldn't get the 4 wheel drive to kick in! I have now learned to always check out the 4 wheel drive before backing down a slick ramp!
OSS, old Ron aint that bad! I would trade you him for PW58 and give you money to boot!
Glad it workedout for the best.
If only Ron could type.
