Id go at it business as usual...they dont ALL spawn at the same time, however, Id probably set up shop at a drop off close to a flat or bank there they are/would spawn.

I fish at night during the spawn at our local reservoir but I do not use a light in the water...ususlly either a "Glow" swimbait with a Chartreuse niblet or a Black Swimbait with a white niblet!. Most Marinas have enough lighting to draw fish in at night!

One lake that I fish you can hardly find a spot after dark during the spawn. There are people elbow to elbow along the causeways with latterns drawing the fish in close to shore. And some very large catches can be had.

I like to fish at night with a lantern when they start moving up in the creeks. I have had alot of really fun nights doing that.

The answer is yes, fishing guide Greg Rednour (new pro-staff for Reel Lites) guides during the spawing season,
He has 712 Led light for that purpose

We go at night cast at the banks with out any lights and they will still hit it. I use a light in the summer to attract minnows to the boat and the crappie come up from the depths. You can find fish at night with out a light dont know about with.
