    Default Truman Walleye

Thinking about trying to catch some walleye below Truman Dam this week. Haven't tried it since 1996. Anybody know a good area to try from the bank these days and best bait? The only year I tried it I used 1/4 ounce chartruse jig/clear orange twister and caught several right after dusk in early April. I will give a report if I end up going. Thanks for any advice, it's been a while!

I fished the old channel from the bank on Sat afternoon,,,,,,, only one hit-- it was a 3 pound walleye. Made for a nice lunch after church on Sunday. That's all I got.

Thanks for the info. I did try a while this evening and caught one hybrid and 4 crappie, saw one guy catch 2 eyes and a kid caught a small one. Seemed pretty slow, they shut the water off mid morning I think. I would imagine it would have been better this evening if they were running any water at all.
