    Default Gasconade River Crappie Fishing

Never have fished for crappie on the Gasconade but decided to give it a try. Dad and I put in at Gasconade City near the Missouri River yesterday and fished about three hours.. We threw tubes and slab busters (didn't matter what color) along rip rap and dipped brush along mud banks and probably caught 50 fish. Most of them were 5-7" long but we did bring back 8 that were between 9-13" which was enough to stink the grease in the fryer.

I go to the Gasconade around Laclede county and I've heard there are some giants in the gasconade. Thanks for the report glad to hear you got some.
