Up or Down or I don't know?

Ever since I joined this board I have been reading posts and reports about going UP or DOWN from where they launch. Can someone please explain what exactly UP and DOWN the lake is as I am clueless.Thanks,Mot

Where ever you launch I look at it this way, towards the dam is always down lake and towards 13 highway is up lake!

A lot of the posts here centralize around the Bucksaw area............unless I am mistaken UP means heading upriver towards Jackson Creek, etc....... (taking a right out of the launch). DOWN means heading back towards the main lake towards Cedar Creek (taking a left out of the launch).

UP river or DOWN river. DOWN is toward the main lake and ultimately, the dam. UP is toward the river that feeds the lake.
