I here they are real good eating, caught some one time up there but the guy I was fishing with took em home with him.
Congrats, looks like fun.
Caught these Sauger last Thursday at Pickwick near Counce, TN. Had never fished for them before.

I have heard they are very tasty. looks like ya had a good day too.
Very good eating right there. Not to many fish taste better.
I'm sick of following my dreams. I'm just going to ask them where they're goin' and hook up with them later.
They are very closely related to the walleye, which is excellent table fare. Looks like you had a good day. I could never catch any at Cordell Hull Lake that were long enough to keep, seems like they had to be 12" in that COE lake. We ran one of the COE campgrounds there for a few years.

Thanks guys! The length limit where we fished is 14". The biggest one we had pictured was 18". Had to throw back 4 or 5 short fish. We had fun, but the bite that day was pretty slow. There were 18 keepers total, and that was caught between myself and two others. As SeaRay said, they taste very similar to Wallye and are of course a member of the perch family.
Nice!!
Good eating for sure
looks like a good fish sandwich, good story
