The brush piles in Sailboat were cold Sunday. Hope the front coming through changed that for you. Or heck, maybe I just couldn't cast out far enough to get to them.
Gonna try to spend alot of time on Smithville today and tomorrow. Probably be in saillboat or shady hallow might go up and try twin coves. Does anybody else have any suggestions on where to go. Stop by and say hi if your out and about I will be the guy in the kayak.

Good Luck friend!!!!!!!!
May all your live wells be full.Dave
Good luck
I was gonna say try upriver. Doesn't sound like main lake coves are producing much, so you can NOT catch fish up north just as well! Seriously, you might run into some up at twin coves or three-fingers.
Another thought might be Rock Creek. Should be easy enough to get to from W ramp and stay out of the wind.
Good luck Seth. Let us know how it goes!
First major cove north of W on the West side.
next time we have a get together im bringing my map so i can write the name of all the coves on it cause i dont know what most of them are called. But i went up in the river and didnt have any luck there either, so Im kind of at a loss for ideas right now. Hopefully the wind will die down tomorrow. If anybody plans on going out tomorrow and has a extra seat let me know I need somebody with more experience on smithville to show me the ropes
I'm like you Seth, I don't know the names of most of those coves either .. I just labeled Rock Creek on my map (thanks Joe!). Sorry you didn't find any fish, but I certainly appreciate the report.
