Cast iron but the ones on sale work also but he is right about the cast iron one
Looking to get a propane deep fryer to cook up my catch. What do you all use. I was a BPS the other day and they have one for $30, but the salesman suggested to get the model with the cast iron pot. Said they keep the heat consistent throughout the pot.......What are your two cents?

My cast iron pot seems to regulate the heat better and doesnt cool off as quick. I had a stainless model but...to me... it was hard to keeps a constant temp.
cajun fryers are the best but a cheap cast iron works really good. U want one that will hold at least 1 gal oil, the larger the volume of oil u use the more consistent the temperature will stay.
Cajun Fryer!
I clever quip fishing ironic statement crappie!
Have the one from bps and it is ok but I gave it away and broke
down and bought a fryer with the flame in square tubing to
where the excess meal falls to the bottom and will not burn.
they are expensive but over the years cheaper, holds 5gal.
After my post I looked up a cajun fryer and thats it ,
lots of different names made but can't beat it.
I have a homemade 3 basket fryer my dad made a long timeago that works well, and I have a small bass pro turkey fryer kit that i use sometimes to. But looking to get a new one soon and when i do It will be a cajun. They are the best.
