    wanting to get back out on Smithville. Does anyone know if it is iced up around the ramps or on the main lake.

    Let me know what you find out, it would be a distance just to drive down there, now if I had my boat behind me I wouldn't mind if the water was open.

    Yesterday it had some ice out a bit from w ramp but not much didnt look very thick. Modandy if you want to make a little drive come down I 29 tonite to paddy Q ,would be nice to meet you look on the thread smithville get together!

    Just took a quick tour around the lake and it is pretty much wide open. There is a tiny bit of ice in the very back of some coves, but everything else looked wide open. W ramp, Crow's Creek ramp & Camp Branch ramp looked fine. I might have to get some fishing in this weekend!

    It was a beautiful day on Smithville, fishing was good, catching was not good. Two crappie, both back in the lake. Visited with several others on the lake and it sounded like the fish have lockjaw. Did see a lot of shad and some crappie but they didn't seem to be hungry.
