Fished from daylight to 11:30 am catching 11 legals and putting 10 under the knife. Surprisingly there was some thin skim ice out there probably because the lake was like a mirror.
Was a good day on the water. Spent an hour or so fishing talking to one of the regulars out there and low and behold he also has had contact (actually bumping boats and having to push the boats apart) with the lakes current reigning inconsiderate champs. Beginning to look like a serial inconsiderate operates out there. We also agreed with each other that the boat launching in front of us doesn't mind blinding the rest of the folks on the ramp with their headlights on while launching thier boat in the dark. Would like to hear their explanation for how those headlights are of any benefit to them while backing down the ramp.
After the initial bite slowed down I left finding some pleasant solitude working a slow bite until I thought I had ten crappie to take home. Counted and found one lucky extra crappie in the livewell and headed home considering it a good day having caught a few fish and not having experienced any blood pressure elevating situations for the day.
Hope all the other boats out there and on the party brush pile had a good day and all filled their 20 fish limits. Iffen that party brush pile was anything like the party cove at Lake of the Ozarks maybe I would have moseied closer by and closely checked things out as I went by.
