tough day

went to houghton lake yesterday, rained all day and ccccold...
only caught 5 crappie, but lots of pike and bass, all on minnows, used shiners and they would die almost as soon as you put them on a hook wimps, gonna us fatheads next time.did manage to get another 20 bluegill, though gonna have a fish fry yet this week.
water temp was 55 in main lake and 57 in the channells when I started and was down to 55 by the time I left around 3:00
still a good day, first day on the water in mich. this year.
need a little sun and warmer weather to get em going good though.:rolleyes:

Glad to hear that Steelguy.
I went out on White Lake today and only caught a couple northerns and a few gills.
Like you said, water temp dropped to 54 to 55 from 58 and 59 day before yesterday. There wasn't anything biting. I guess now I'll have to wait until next week for things to warm up again.
