Sure is nice to be able to get out in January. Congrats on the catch.
What do you use for bait this time of year
we were using fresh shad and frozen skipjacks. the gutpockets worked the best today, but some days its the heads or the fillets. sonneys dip bait works well for channels all year long, but we didnt have any takers on that today.
Good lookin cats!
I clever quip fishing ironic statement crappie!
Boy those are some nice eating size cats.
oh my that is nice for sure, love them fried up catfish,,, catching them is a whole lot of fun too.... congrats. on your river run
Thats sweet, i really wan to learn how to catch those blues and flat heads on rod and reel..Years of running trout lines and limb lines, but the rod an reel aspect seems like tone more fun.
good job. We have went a couple of times this year on the Missouri. Caught a bunch of tiny ones. but also caught a few eaters to bring home. Probably would have went yesterday if we both hadn't felt like crap. We caught ours on night crawlers. But now having a hard time finding them. Stores just seem like they don't want to sell them this time of year. It is nice to see the river down also. They haven't had a lot of snow out west in the Missouri watershed so it should be a much better year. We tried frozen skipjacks last time and the little guys sucked loved it. Whenever we go to the Osage and fish we sometimes get skipjacks while bass fishing so we bring them home and freeze them.
Great catch MO..........I'm guessing/hopin you'll have a couple of those fresh'ns to fry up for the Twain tourney we've been talkin bout? Thumbs Up
