Quick, someone teach me how to fish so I can win this tournament!!!
I finally got around to watching this. Very good video, Don.
I've seen it before. It comes from the final episode of Ken Burns The Civil War. I highly recommend the rest of it if you haven't seen it. It's all good, but I think that last episode is my favorite. It talks about the last days of Lee, Grant, etc.
I'm always blown away that 2,500 veterans showed up at the 75th anniversary of Gettysburg. It was a minor miracle to survive Gettysburg itself, much less another seventy-five years.
Thank you Don for posting this. It is a reminder that freedom was never free. Individuals fought for it and they are still fighting to preserve it.
"All gave some.....some gave it all" That was true 75 years ago and is still true today. DB4D said a mouthful here. "I'm always blown away that 2,500 veterans showed up at the 75th anniversary of Gettysburg. It was a minor miracle to survive Gettysburg itself, much less another seventy-five years. " Very inciteful my friend.
