Good lookin job there woodduck...
(Just an idea) turn it 90 degrees clockwise and your rod length would only be restricted by the length of that wall...

Just built this today. Got tired of rods laying everywhere in my mancave and figured I'd let you guys see. Might be some ideas for someone. Curse my 8ft ceilings though, can't fit any of my muskie poles in it.

Where did you get the clips?
x2 on running the longer rods the length of the wall, or up on the ceiling if possible.
GO BIG ORANGE !
I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.
I know I could have went horizontal but it would require a design change to support the butts. The clips I got at BassPro.
Have you considered putting the rack on the ceiling and getting all that wall space back, and get your musky poles in it? I've had mine up there for years and haven't broken one yet. They can be made to be good looking enough to satisfy the wife. Very simple. Your rack looks good, and the rods are better for it.
Creativity is just intelligence fooling around
I'm actually thinking of getting a hanging rack, one of the cheap wooden ones from BassPro just for the muskie and some of my cat rods. I'll have that rack pretty full anyways once I get the rest of my rods out of the building.
