Excellent post and report.
With the weather being almost perfect for this time of year, Eric and I managed another late afternoon fishing trip to Hillsdale. The crappie bite has been good and the size for Hillsdale has been impressive. We have been fishing deep brush and finding that the bite is better while the wind is blowing. This makes it much more difficult to hold over a pile but the reward is worth it. With the wind blowing we have been using heavy jigs but the fish don't seem to mind. Black and chart, and red and chart were the color for us yesterday. Guys, you cannot ask for nicer weather in January. For the past few years the lakes have been frozen over so it is nice to get this opportunity. We hope the weather holds out a little longer. We want to give Fall River a shot in the next couple of weeks.
Out on the water we had the pleasure to meet another Spring Hill fisher named Sam and he said he follows the Crappie.com board. We told him he needs to get setup with an account.
Eric wrote about our outing and posted it here Cold Water
