Great idea, Thanks. I've been wanting to rig up something for mine and you just handled that for me, I had thought about pool noodles but you can't find them in Dec Doh Like the pvc idea to stiffen it up also.
I made this with 3/4" PVC pipe and a strip of pipe insalution. Cut the pipe and insulation about 8" and superglue the insulation to the pipe to keep it from spining when winding on minnow rigs..Works great!!!

We use swimming noodles from k-mart or walmart $1.99 in the spring.I will buy several then cut them 12" long and tie 10 rigs on each.
I had a pool noodle with 1/2 inch pvc inside, and didn't like it. I find sandwich bags easier to use, and they store easily side by side in the side compartment of my bag. They're easier to remove and install when needed. Usually have at least a extra dozen tied up ready to go. You might also try putting a colored bead or two in front of the hook for color, or adding a glow bead at the knot, gives something besides the minnow for the crappie to see. I had gotten a few with small blades but they didn't spin, and not sure if they added much flash.

the pipe insulation will hold up better to hooks being inserted and removed than pool noodles because it is a higher density foam.
