Nice job!! Glad the bite was on fer ya.
Headed to Harney in spite of the wind predictions. I’ve been preoccupied with hunting and flounder fishing but the crappie bug bit me again as it usually does this time of year. I thought the water would be down but when I got to the ramp I almost turned around and went back home. The ramp is still mostly underwater and the flats are flooded. The wind and current were ripping and the lake was white capping so the usual honey holes were not fishable. I rode around a bit looking to get out of the wind and found decent water up a little trough that is usually dry. I saw some minnows jumping so I anchored up and the bite was on. All fish were caught from about 12-3PM in basically the same spot and most had fairly well developed eggs. All caught on minnows though I did throw jigs for a while without any luck. Also caught a nice bass and a few bluegill that I released.
Nice job!! Glad the bite was on fer ya.
Must've just missed ya Rusty........
Was a beautiful morning out on the lake, all mornin, till my new little wind meter read 12mph, then we came in.
Had almost decided to go to slabfest till I saw the weather (wind) report, decided to stay close to home, etc,etc......
But, we didn't do squat, only 2 but they were real nice.
I think we were back at the ramp around 10:30-11:00........

6And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.
Way to seek'em out & stick with the mid-day bite ! Little strange with the higher water & consitent wind this time of year, however, your pic's tell the story, they still can be found ! congrats.
