Just read this on the Florida site, and was shocked. Walmart donates over 74 million to anti fishing group.

well sounds like they are starting with the coast, but just wait till the goverment gets involved in it and we all may loose,,, seems like they would spend the 71 million and bring some jobs back to the good ole USA and if they really wanted to help they would not buy poision toys or alleged poision toys from china,,,, as rugs would say.

That does it for me. I have already been trying to buy elsewhere when possible. Now... I'm going on a lifetime diet of NO WalMart. There is nothing I can't get somewhere else, might not be convenient, might cost a couple dollars more, that is a good price to pay.

I don't buy any sporting goods from them even before reading this. Now I truly know! It seems like a double standard, they invest all that money but yet sell crap rods & reels as well as tackle! Anything for the "Ole Mighty Buck"! I agree Sam Walton has got to be turning over in his grave!!!!!

Bummer, It's my local tackle store, I suppose I could try to stock up at Tombstone tackle in Colombia when I can, or BPS with gift cards...
I'll never talk my wife out of shopping there though.

I have always loved Wal mart. In today's geo-political-economic climate, some groups have been after WM's butt because they're not union, and haven't favored anti-business groups. It looks to me like they may be trying to buy their way out of the barrel by having to contribute to socialist groups, in the same type extortion racket our friend Jesse Jackson has used so successfully over the years. Bill Gates sure turned into a philanthropist when he was on the front burner, and GE is singing the praises of big government. If it's seems like they're anti gamefishing, just stroll through the sporting goods section. Hope i didn't upset anybody, but that's what I believe.
