I think if you dont go you wont know, nor will you catch any fish. LOL I fish when I can and if it aint pouring down rain or howling winds. Maybe I should watch the barometer but that would only give me another excuse NOT to go fishing.
What do you think this weather map means for people in Florida. This is the current view at the time of this posting 11:37 friday Oct 28
I predict the fishing to be good today and terrible this weekend. Any ideas?
thanks

Health nuts are going to feel stupid someday, lying in hospitals dying of nothing.
My forecast based on your weather map:
Friday: fishing better than working
Saturday: fishing better than doing chores
Sunday: same as Saturday
Monday: fishing better than working
I always catch 'em better in a light-medium rain. Unless there's significant lightning or it's coming down sideways, I say GO FISHING!
And I know there are several good sites out there for the weather, but I like www.noaa.gov. I haven't tried to make sense of weather maps since 9th grade science class. Plus, if I make a prediction and it's wrong I have no one to blame but myself. With this I can always complain about the weatherman...
I fish when my wife says I can. No more, no less.

It means the wind has been calm all week and the lake like glass. Tomorrow and Sunday 15-20mph winds calming to 5mph on Monday while I am driving to work again.
I agree gabowman

6And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.
I went out on Saturday night and it was very windy and rough. I could barely pull the anchor up The actually weather front was passing and it was cold, windy with a rising barometer. I sat out there with a submersible light for about 6 hours before calling it off. I didnt catch anything despite an active school of shad under the light. I kinda knew it was going to be like that so I set a trotline as an experiment. I caught 6 catfish on a 24 hook line. It appears that catfish are active even when other fish are not biting.
