Sounds like a fun day despite the rain.....must be someone new workin there because the last time we bought minnows there we had about 6 dozen for the price of 3,hopefully you get the clerk we had next time.
Just got home from putting in at Coffman Beach at LOZ today. Started around 8 am in the Soap branch, buddy and I caught a limit in a couple of hours before the rain.
Bite was slow but still shallow under docks. Used minnows before we ran out and crappie candy. Most hits came on a bite from 2-4 feet below the dock (10-15 foot) on a live minnow/slab buster (char and red or red/yellow).
Nothing big just 9-10's. Minnows we got from Bass Pro bait shop in Eldon were TINY and skimpy on the count. Alot of the fish seemed to suck them right off the hooks.
Hate to diss like that but it is what it is! $4.80 for 3 dz like that is a rip off....imo

sound's like a fun day!
why do today what you can put off til tomorrow, go fishing instead!!!
Good work......was talking to a guy I know through work and he said that he had also been having great success out of Coffman on the Gravois. Congrats on a good day.
We do not want the gift of a fish; neither do we expect a lesson on fishing; what we direly need is a chance to fish
Glad you guys got to get out there and get some any way. If you ever get down around Camdenton try out Van Hooks bait shop off of old HWY 5 down by Bridal Cave. Good minnows at a fair price and alot of other good bait too.
