    Finally going to get to wet a line this coming Sat. but it's a one day deal, have to be home for Easter at the mommy-in-laws. Anyone fishing through the week fill me in, PLEASE. Man it seems like an eternity since i've been fishin ...izzy

    Hey Izzy- I got the MDC fishing report emailed to me and it said the water temp at Twain is 55, I think it has to be a typo but if its even close Ill bet those slabs are starting to move up late in the day.

    Unhappy Sat 4/8

    The Crappie were crappy.
    Morning temp 34 with 20 mph winds from the NE and bluebird skies.
    Put in at Hwy U ramp and tried to fish the coves there but the wind was blowing straight into them. Moved to Shell Creek and found lots of fish in 25 foot and deeper water holding at 12 to 18 feet but they had lock-jaw. We caught about a dozen with four big enough to keep. Caught about half on minnows and the rest on jigs. Water temps were from 50 to 55. You could see about one foot down on the tree trunks in Shell Creek. Hopefull a week of warm weather will stir something up.

    BarryG, they're wanting to pull out of town around 5:30 Sat. morning. By the time we have to stop for breakfast (they allways do) it'll be 8:30 to 9 before i get on the water. Supposed to put in at South Fork. If ya got a cell phone PM me the # and i'll give you a shout when i get there, if they don't tick me off between now and Sat. hehe...izzy
