RHill and I did pretty good this morning even with the wind. We've been having luck fishing brush in 12-15 fow for the last month or so and got 11 keepers and 1 good catfish on an ultralight which was a fun fight today. We caught them all on minnows about 8-10 feet down, they didn't even nibble at a jig. Whitecaps were pushing hard on the main lake and the old bass tracker doesn't do so well in the big waves so we didn't go far from W ramp and fished the cove on the southeast side of the bridge. The wind was swirling in there and we had to fight to keep close to the marker buoy but managed alright. We probably caught 20 total and only one of the keepers was under 10, most were 10.5 to 11.5, so pretty good quality.

Had a great time on the water this morning, not gonna get too many 80 degree days in October so couldn't pass it up even with the wind! We couldn't believe it but there were a couple guys in a canoe out there today that went north from the bridge, I have no clue how they could have fought the wind to get back to their vehicle? Talked to a few guys in a flat bottom john boat at the ramp who were soaked and just made their way back from up river with no luck.

Heads up that Burton's sign on the door says he's opening up at 7:30 on Saturdays, he was there with about 6 customers in line at 7:20 this morning.
