Any one finding any nice Roomies Yet?The blacks and grays are startin a little early this year in my area. We have had a few warm nights, some thunderstorms, and rain every few days.... I am hoping this will be one of those GOOD years for a change.

Starting to find the reds here but the greys havent shown up yet.Another week or so and there could be nothin finer than spawning crappie, fresh shrooms, and gobblin turkeys.:D Dang but my mouth is waterin just thinkin about it.
You guys are killing me. I absolutely love those little buggers. Unfortunately, they can't be found here in central Texas. Being from eastern Missouri, I grew up picking mushrooms. My dad is probably out looking right now. When my mom cleans them, she breads them in flour and freezes them so they are ready for the grease. Hope she saves me some.

Are you saying you are finding them now in Michigan
Tim
Just hearing about morels makes my mouth water. When I lived in michigan we ate them all the time. Now living in South Carolina I only dream of them on my dinner plate.
To make life enjoyable, you must have crappie days.
Maybe most of you have seen this website, but I will post it anyway.

I always breaded mine in egg and cracker crumbs. Mmmm. All the places I picked morels thirty years ago are off limits now, thanks to "progress". - Roberta
