    Default Night Stalking Truman

Still catching crappie at night on Truman, Friday and Saturday were very slow, might have
been the storms, but Sunday was a really good night. Fished new place, but
still same basic structure where river channel runs close to a point. Limited out,
35 feet of water, 12 feet down, minnows, pole timber, did best when I
only used one rod and wrapped the line around my finger. Bite was very light
and that way let me feel them. I don't think I would have done as well
just by watching the rod tips like I usually do. Sorry, no pictures but
my grandaughter says she will show me how to put them on the computer.
Doing best with a white light, and using green lights to see by in the boat.
This weekend, not any or much breeze and the bugs were bad, not biting
just landing. Has anyone tried that new mosquito repellent thing that you
hang on your belt and it is supposed to keep the bugs away? No mosquitoes
at night but lots of flying creatures.

Interesting about the white light....I always have done better with a green light and put the light about 5 ft. deep.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

I use the mosquitoe thing that you clip on your belt.It takes 2 AA batteries and it works great. They also have a smaller one that uses 2 AAA batteries and it works great also.Atleast they work great for me.Good job on the night fishing.
