Decided to enjoy this nicer weather we have been having and head to the lake yesterday (my wife and I). Haven't been on the main lake since April, so just took a shot in the dark. Found some fish on the edge of a flat in the mouth of a big cove 6-8 fow. Lots of shorts but ended up with 30 keepers, nothing big. Most were 10-12 in. fish. The bite was better early and really slowed down late morning, but we were still picking up 1 here and there when we quit about 1pm. Most were caught on minnows 4-6 ft. down. Water temp was 84-86.
