I am new to the site. I am starting to try for Crappie. I live near Lake St. Clair and I have heard that there is some good spring Crappie fishing there. I have never fished for them on this lake before and checking if anyone has fish for Crappies on Lake St. Clair. Any pointers and tips would be appreciated! Thanks.
The key for St. clair is to fish the right canal at the right timein the Spring or fall. 2 weekends ago we got nice limits in a canal in St. Clair Shoes. Then the weather got cold and they all left. We find that crappie favor the deeper canals that tend to stay cleaner than others. It's usually a feast or famine situation. Just spend some time checking out tdifferent canals and pinpoint a few spots that produce. The same spots seem to produce year after year.
