    Default Turkey Foot Creek


    Took my fiance out today and she out fished me 1st time luck.Had to put in a lil extra work to control the boat.Stayed out for 3hrs caught ten fish from 12 - 3pm biggest fish was a lil over 14'' she caught more but i got the heavy ones.Went out yesterday eveving and did way better got about 25 in 3hrs 5-8 pm.It seem gigs with minnows or just gigs seems to be working for us.Wouldve probably did better today but someone almost tipped us over:D oh yea 1st time luck boat full of water but fishon.

    I think its a little lake in scioto county, I think i seen it while i was turkey hunting in wayne national forest

    Wayne National is a cool place to Turkey hunt. Lot's and lots and lots of land to roam on.

    Turkeyfoot Creek

    A white ghost on horseback is said to guard buried treasure on the inside bend of Turkeyfoot Creek, near the village of Shunk in Henry County--formerly part of Ohio's notorious Black Swamp. Indians buried it there following their defeat by Mad Anthony Wayne at Fallen Timbers; it is thought to be about $40,000 in gold sheets, soldiers' pay stolen from the Army paymaster en route to Fort Defiance. The Indians, who migrated to Oklahoma Territory, intended to retrieve the gold when they returned to take back their land from the white man. As we all know, things didn't go as planned for the Indians, and now they say that the gold is buried somewhere on the bank of the creek, waiting for someone to dig in the right place.

    Turkey Foot is in Texas OH about 10mins pass Providence dam and the city of Grand Rapids OH.Follow the river and watch the signs on the left.Rte 24 or i just say all the way out the A.W.Trail.Thumbs Up
