I think Hwy 19 was to be closed after they openned 154. It was the bridge about a mile south of where 154 "T'd" 19. They closed it on April 25th. I don't know if it has openned yet. Good luck!
Yep,19 south of 154 is closed and its the same detour around back to 19.

I Don't Know,but I can always use help
I was up at twain last weekend, and 19 is closed. the northbound detour was not too bad, but the small road they chose was getting tore up pretty bad by the semi's. before long, they will have to detour the detour! lol! since I was fishing the west side of the lake, I thought I,d make my own detour on the way home. in perry, at the intersection of J, B, and 154, I went south on highway B and followed that until I hit highway J(ralls county). left(east) on j took me back to highway 19 south. that route really wasn,t bad at all and the next time I go, thats how I'm going.
If you don't mind 40/61 take 19 south out of Perry to 154 and the east on 154 to 54 through Curryville. Just make sure you do the speed limit through Curryville. Then south on 40/61. It's only 5 or 10 min. difference between that route or going through Montgomery City on 19 (before detour) from St. Charles. Detour is suppose to last until June 3rd. Let us know how you do!
I always go the Bowling Green-Curryville route myself- Grew up in BG, so I'm used to the territory. Curryville had a reputation longer ago for being a major speed trap. There was word that they even gave an Amish kid a speeding ticket with his retired racehorse and light buggy- he was going over the limit so he was written up. For several years I could go through there and not see a cop, then the last time I went through this spring, one was staked out and hiding next to a building, just like old times. Good thing C-ville's old reputation stuck in my mind and I was keeping it under the limit.
