Nice report matt,,, hope they are there for the family tomorrow
Went back and forth on whether or not to head out today with all the wind but finally decided to go for it!! We got to the lake around 10 this morning and put in at Sterett Creek. Tried to fish in the wind for a little before we decided to find somewhere out of the wind. It took us a little while but we finally found the honey hole catching about 20 of our 30 fish in probably 25 casts. It was a great day!! Found the honey hole in about 9 foot of water and they ranged from 2' - 10' out from the bank...I'm not giving away too much information because I might take the wife and kid out tomorrow afternoon to the same place in hopes that new fish have moved into the crappie apartment!! How many people are already at camp? I'm still hoping to make it down there to meet some of you all!!! I hope the wind will die down somewhat for everyone as well!! Oh, we caught mostly males, probably had 7 or 8 females. I do have one question: some of them that we cut open seemed to have "traces" of eggs?? They had some runny yellow looking stuff that I had never seen before. Is that anything to do with eggs or just something else? When I say trace, I mean that you had to be looking for it to really see it.....
Nice report matt,,, hope they are there for the family tomorrow
