Default What line do you use for trolling?

I have been using Berkley Vanish Transition for the last year. I like the line but I get a lot of break offs while fishing. I just want to see what ya'll are using? I have tried the Vicious Panfish Hi Vis Yellow and it seems to be pretty good with good strength but I'm not big on the high vis line.
    Thanks,
    Lynn

My first thought is that you need to take a serious look at your knot. Consistent knot tying is an art that most of us overlook .

I use the palomar knot so IMO it should be good. What kind of knot do you tie? The Berkley line just breaks off a lot, I tried the Vicious and I'm not having the break offs I'm just not big on the hi vis. I may just try it in a low vis.
    Thanks,
    Lynn

Well I got a plan!! I bought some stren line tonight, so I'm going to put some of it on a couple of poles and then do a test with the Berkley, Stren and Vicious line. I'll let you know how it turns out. Thanks for the input guys.

Unless you fish a super clear lake,I would stick with the Vicious. I played around with changing colors not long ago,and didn't notice a whole lot of difference. Also when I troll jigs I always tie a loop knot.

I use 10/2 Braid and don't have trouble. Have been using Power Pro for a long time now, but this year also trying the new Spider Wire Invisi-Braid.
