    Default High viz rod tips

I would like to know how you all are marking your rod tips to make them easier to see when fishing multiple rods. Paint, tape, something else? I bought four more BnM Pro Staff rods and want to mark the tips in some way to make them easier to see when spider rigging.

You can use white out. After it dries, you can take a magic marker and make it any color you want. If you decide you don't like it, just scrape it off with your fingernail.

I tape the eyes and then paint mine with Krylon flourescent spray paint. They offer orange, yellow, and green in their flourescent line.

crappie4me2 told me about some paint, and I got a can of it-worked good. I just can't remember the name of it. It was a flourescent yellow. Krylon something.

Paint it white before you use the fluorescence paint, thanks to Speck for that tip.

I spray paint the first foot or so with fluorescent yellow. It has good visibility in the daytime GREAT VISIBILTY AT NIGHT for my old eyes.
I wrap the rods with newspaper and tape it down before I spray to avoid runs and splattering. This stuff will last for years.
Buy GOOD PAINT and remember several light coats are much better than 1-2 heavy coats. Heavy coats tend to chip after awhile.

I agree with SteveJ on the basecoat of white paint with the flourescent on top. It really makes them alot brighter. I also have some replacement tips from BNM that work great also. Tried them out already and they work great as well.
